International shipping delays
Please keep in mind that transit times can vary greatly. Occasionally packages can be substantially delayed up to 45 days, but the usual transit time is 7 – 14 days.
When traveling across a border, packages occasionally get held up at customs, which is in the hands of the country's customs officials. Please understand you are taking a risk in buying internationally that your package may be (uncommonly) delayed up to 7 weeks.
Customs and charges
Please check into your country’s customs and duty policies prior to purchasing. Rates for international packages and customs vary by nation, and aren’t reflected in our pricing or shipping charges. We are not liable for any fees or taxes a package may be subject to upon crossing the border.
Lately there have been higher-than-normal customs fees on orders shipping to Canada. These charges are determined by Canadian customs, so we recommend checking with your local customs office for the most up-to-date fees before placing your order.
Tracking your international Order
If your order was shipped with USPS, the tracking numbers for International shipments only show where they are in the USA.
Once overseas, the tracking number is not updated. When your package is outside the US, there will be no update until it’s been delivered. The tracking will show your package being “frozen” at a major US port (like Los Angeles), but this doesn’t mean your package isn’t moving; it’s just moving overseas.
U.S. taxes
Due to state laws, orders shipped to the following states will incur state and local taxes: Arkansas, California, Florida, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and Wisconsin. (If you’ve lived in one of these states for a while, this should be nothing new!)
Receiving your package
Depending on your area, your package may be delivered by the local post office or a local courier (but most often your local post office, so your package will be received with your regular mail). Depending on the value of your package, a notice card may be left in the event that you’re unable to receive and sign for your package directly—but don’t worry, they’ll leave instructions on how and where to retrieve it! Rarely, your local customs office may require additional documents to clear your package which may delay your delivery time.
What if I haven't received my order?
If you haven’t received your order after 30 days, please email us at support@gldn.com and we’ll track it down for you ASAP or help you get a replacement for the piece.
